First, stay calm
Whether you lost your keys or left them inside the house, the situation is the same: you can't get in. Rushing doesn't help, and forcing the door yourself can end up costing far more than calling a locksmith.
What to do before calling
- Check whether a family member, neighbour or building caretaker has a spare key
- Check there isn't another door or window that can be accessed safely
- If you lost your keys (rather than just leaving them inside), consider changing the lock or cylinder once you're back in, in case someone finds them
What you'll need for us to let you in
For your security, we ask for some proof that the property is yours (ID, tenancy agreement or another valid document) before opening it. It takes a minute and stops anyone getting a door opened that isn't theirs.
What we do
We come to your home, open the door without damaging the lock whenever possible, and if you lost your keys, we can change the cylinder on the same visit so they stop working.
